At 6 Jefferson Hyll started multi-tracking songs he'd written with two boom boxes. During his teenage years and into his twenties, he continued to write and produce songs in isolation, only occasionally playing live shows. Now, with the release of Drive All Night, that's started to change. He won the March 19th Songwriter's Stage event at the Camp House in Chattanooga, TN; the Nashville Songwriters Association International recently named him "One to Watch" eight times for eight of the songs on the album; and, five of his songs on the album have been nominated for consideration for the NSAI publishers' luncheon. His influences range from Jackson Browne, Van Morrison, and Jimmy Webb, to contemporary artists Ron Sexsmith, Counting Crows, and Ryan Adams. Born in New Orleans, he's been on the move most of his life, living in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and abroad in France and England. He's currently in the Chattanooga area.
